100 Best Gluten-Free Recipes is a collection of the most requested recipes from Fenster’s award-winning cookbook, 1,000 Gluten-Free Recipes. The ones she deems will be used by the gluten free over and over again from all food categories and meals.
The recipes in this collection are not fancy, gourmet dishes, but rather recipes that are in everyone’s everyday repertoire, including pepperoni pizza, spaghetti with marinara sauce, chicken marsala with mushrooms, buttermilk biscuits, chocolate brownies and some of my personal favorites like focaccia with herbs, crab cakes, vegetable tempura and carrot layer cake with cream cheese frosting.
In addition to your favorite recipes, this book also includes shopping guidelines, tips on how to organize your pantry and advice on cooking with gluten free ingredients that you may not be familiar with. I particularly like how she groups recipes into meals for special occasions such as the All-American Supper, Italian Dinner and Weekend Brunch.
This cookbook is small and light enough to be portable, so that you can carry it with you when visiting friends and family. That surely makes it easier on all when others may be cooking for you.
